Voted to fully fund the School Board annually. Advanced new school construction and expansions, including the new JFK Middle School and improvements across the district.
2. Revitalized Downtown Suffolk
Helped establish the Downtown Advisory Committee and fund a Downtown Coordinator. Advanced restoration projects, created the Arts & Cultural District, broke ground on the new downtown library, and supported strategic property investments to strengthen Main Street.
3. Reduced the Real Estate Tax Rate… Twice
Delivered tax relief while continuing to invest in infrastructure, schools, and public safety. Maintained Suffolk’s strong credit rating to protect taxpayers long-term.
4. Strengthened Public Safety
Opened Fire Station #11. Directed public safety funding responsibly. Supported recruitment and retention of police, fire, and rescue personnel. Crime has decreased for three consecutive years.
5. Promoted Smart Growth & Job Creation
Supported economic development focused on quality, high-paying jobs. Encouraged responsible residential growth and workforce training partnerships to keep opportunity here in Suffolk.
